Hey, Amos. I need that mechanical/engineering brain of yours again. This time for an opinion on whether I'm being dumb about something or not. These locked doors, have you tried opening them?
Something's bugging me about them. What if they're locked for a damn good reason?
Don't get me wrong, I still think we should try as hard as we can to open them. It's the only way we'll find the command deck. But what if they're keeping something locked away? Something that maybe took out the original crew??
No signs of struggle, no bodies, no blood. But that could all be on the other side of the doors. With whatever offed them.
If we open a door on one isolated level of the station and find something awful on the other side, would you maybe be able to isolate us and shut off the rest of the terminal?
as long as the deck is emptied, think so we can test it out, though. not venting the station, thatd be a waste of oxygen, but checking the hatches and systems
Sure, we'll cover more ground if we go around , locking everything up just to check it does work maybe we should have someone on either side in case something breaks

have you seen signs of struggle anywhere? blood? bodies?
if something took out the crew, there would be signs, wouldn't there?

i've been thinking about doing that already. get everyone out of deck 6 and vent it to open the hatch to deck 7, in case it's depressurized.
two birds, one stone?

What would testing it involve? Is it something I can help with?
